If you’re looking for city parks, there are several to choose from, each with its unique charms. Goodale Park, for example, features a lake, walking trails, playgrounds, a Victorian-era Opera House, and a public pool. Nearby is Schiller Park, a natural oasis in the middle of the city, boasting a lake, waterfall, and sprawling lawns perfect for picnicking or sunbathing. Further to the west is the enormous Scioto Mile, a scenic riverside park system that once comprised part of the Olentangy River floodplain.
